I can't believe we're this far through December already. These next two months are going to fly by. Funny how we'll have three months in a row with birthdays at the beginning.
Mark called this morning to say that he's actually feeling great. No aches from any of his recent complaints. I also bought some canned drinks for him to have in the morning before work that help regulate his sugar level... He says they don't taste the best, but that he feels really good in the mornings compared to how he was feeling by skipping breakfast. Don't tell him, but they are actually for diabetics... I tore that part of the box off when I opened the side up.
I am schlepping around the house this morning in my black velour pants and red chenille housecoat. I feel like a lit cigarette in one hand and a fifth of vodka in the other is all it would take to complete the picture. Except for this belly and the fact that I'm also wearing one of Mark's old T-shirts with sweat stains in the underarms.
I did get a little more sleep last night, but I still laid in bed for an hour and a half before I was allowed to doze off. Mark called me at 9 and woke me up. I think I got up three times to pee and have water. Water is my new best friend now. I can't seem to get hydrated, and I hope by drinking more that I can prevent those little migraines I've been having. Thing is, I don't like the way water tastes anymore. Maybe I should get some of those fruit-flavored varieties.
I think part of the problem with getting to sleep last night was that I was chilly. I've taken the down comforter off the bed so that I can take it in to be cleaned. We've been using fleece blankets, but last night it was not enough. I snuggled my belly up to Mark's back and he complained about it being cold. Then the baby started kicking at him and I rolled back to back with him. Still not warm enough, I finally gave in and dug a spare comforter out of the closet. Mark was already asleep, but his breathing deepened after I covered us over and I think we both got a better night's sleep.
